Position Summary:
The Outpatient Infusion Case Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of patient visits across the Outpatient Infusion Service line. This will include and is not limited to participation in validation and verification of scheduling requirements, insurance coverage/ pre-authorization, interdepartmental relations and adherence to quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School graduate with demonstrated continuing education at a college level program or equivalent experience.
- National certification as a pharmacy technician with relevant experience will be considered
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience/ Specialized Knowledge:
- Three or more years experience in a hospital Scheduling or Registration Department with emphasis on scheduling, registration and/or patient tracking functions.
- Insurance Medical Billing: 2 years
- Minimum two years of experience in healthcare
- Working knowledge of benefits verification/authorizations; medical billing, CPT, ICD-10 terminology
