Summary:

Clinical Nurse Leaders are Master’s Degree prepared generalists who assist with the coordination of care for groups of patients using evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes. Acts as a change agent by facilitating proactive performance improvement initiatives at both the department and organization level. The Clinical Nurse Leader designs, implements, and evaluates patient care by coordinating, delegating and supervising the care provided by the health care team. The Clinical Nurse Leader will assume responsibility for addressing variations in clinical outcomes among a specific patient population focused on health promotion, risk reduction, and population-based health care.

Minimum qualifications: 

• Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing 
• licensure and current registration as an RN in the State of Connecticut 
• Masters of Science in Nursing
• Graduate of a Clinical Nurse Leader program
• Three years clinical experience.
• Certified in the speciality with in 2 years 
• Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good organization, leadership and management skills.
• Excellent skills in working with patients with complex needs
• Good skills in managing the workload and self management 
• Ability to function well in stressful situations and prioritize actions in meeting changing organization and department needs.
• Proficient in various operating software

Preferred qualifications:

• FIve years clinical experience
