Hospital Access Representative

Hours: Part-Time/27 hours (This is a benefits eligible position).

Shift Details: Evenings - 2 week rotation:

Week #1: Monday 3pm-9pm, Wednesday 3pm-11:30pm, Thursday 3pm-9pm, Saturday 3pm-11:30pm

Week #2: Sunday 3pm-11:30pm, Monday, Thursday and Friday 3pm-9pm

Position Summary:

Responsible for various patient -related access duties which include registering and processing patients to ensure Department and Hospital access and financial goals are achieved.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient typing/keyboard skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Excellent communication skills (telephone, written, and inter-personal)
• Flexibility of hours necessary to ensure department scheduling are met
• Professional appearance
• One year experience in a hospital or medical office including insurance and medical terminology
