Summary:Middlesex Health Primary Care physicians provide all encompassing, patient-centered primary care to patients of all ages.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Under general direction...

  • Provide high quality and efficient patient care to Middlesex Hospital Primary Care patients of all ages.

  • Diagnosis and treat illness, manage chronic disease, perform examinations, provide treatment plans.

  • The physician will function as an integral member of the clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining patient flow and working with administrative staff.

  • Maintain educational requirements for board certification.

Adheres to all Core Values (Compassion, Pursue Excellence, Cooperation and Collaboration, Upholds Honesty, and Supports Innovation). Adheres to all Absolutes (Privacy and Confidentiality, Professional Appearance, and Responsibility and Commitment). Other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical School and residency program

  • Board Certification in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or equivalent field

  • Current CT state licensure with both DEA and DPH prescribing privileges.

  • Skilled in traditional disciplines of patient assessment and management.

  • Must obtain medical privileges at Middlesex Hospital in the Department of Medicine, section of Occupational Medicine. Complies fully with MH Medical staff bylaws for maintenance of MH privileges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience as a practicing physician in an Primary Care setting
